jam nights in mid Staffordshire

Hi all,
I'm looking for rock/blues jam nights in mid Staffs, around Lichfield/Cannock/Stafford etc. I need to get back on the scene and meet new musos. I'll also go along to acoustic nights as long as there is a good mix of music as although I like folk music too it really isn't my forté.
Any ideas?

The Trocadero near Hednesford, the Stumble Inn and LA Rock Cafe in Cannock are the main music pubs I know of in that area (Lichfield's almost certainly got some good ones, but I'm WAY out of the loop there). Not sure what's run on what nights at the minute, but all three have done jam nights at some point. I'll ask around the few musos I know still in the area.

Not sure how far away it is from you but in Leek there's an acoustic session full of realllly good musicians, on all different instruments (Not like the usual 20 Bob Dylan copycats with guitars). It's at The Wilkes Head pub. The landlord runs the session but everyone is welcome.

I know a couple other acoustic sing-around type gatherings but they're nothing compared to that one..

If I may hijack your thread a bit since the title works for me too..

What about the Stoke area? Anyone know any good acoustic or blues jams around here? Or even any good pubs that have good live music like blues/rock bands? (ANYTHING but more '''indie''' bands..)
