Smile My first track on here. Epic electro.

    Hey everyone,
this is my first post on the site, I've been reading computer music for a while now and it's really helped me as a producer, so I thought I'd come on here and see what everyone thinks!

The song is by my project - Exit Mundi
It is a remix of a local rock band's song, lots of big epic phrases and harmonies, vocoders, big synths, lo-fi jerky drums, a bit of a mashup...

I'd really like you all to have a listen and tell me what you think! Any thoughts on how you would describe it? Suggestions?
I aim to be putting my stuff into live shows and turning the whole project live.. So when the rest of the tracks from the EP are done, I'll make sure I get it all up here!

But yeah, cheers for your time, I suggest downloading the high quality version lower down on the page as it sounds a lot better!

I generally produce with FL Studio and Cubase and mix it all down in pro tools. This track was mixed using some BOSE quietcomfort headphones and done entirely in FL. I'll put it through pro-tools and give it a proper working over if it turns out to be popular..

    Thanks again!

the synth melodies and voc voice are quite ill and exausting after a while. that arp in the beginnig sounds like presets. i like the beat especially in the beginning! i d stick more to that beat and put the emphasis on it. actually not my style of music. keep it up, lots of potentials

Thanks, I'll bear that in mind.
I was going to calm down the vocoder a little, then maybe add some pads too fill it out and make the sweeps a little bit more intense. Not sure what to do with the lead sound though, it isn't a preset but I agree that I get's a little boring. Perhaps I could play with the gate for a slightly trancier kind of feel too it? Or perhaps just automate the filters a little..?

Any other advice that anyone can give?
    Thanks for your time,
    -Phil
