Default Who played/went to a gig last night?

Weekends being where pro musos make a fair bit of their living and the rest of it.....

I know it's early Sunday morning, and at the moment still feels like the middle of the night for me, but I thought it may be worth asking the good folk of the forum: Who actually went out last night and played a gig? Or went to a gig?

I played a gig yesterday during the day. It was a corporate thing, a jazz guitar duo. No one listened but the money was good, the food was good too.

Haven't played or been to a gig in over a year.

Had tickets for a gig in December, but it was cancelled and rescheduled right in the middle of my domestic crisis.

Yep, played last night with my number 2 band.

It was a 21st birthday party for the daughter of a friend of a friend, at a swanky golf club. We had a dep bass player because our regular guy was admitted to hospital last week for emergency heart surgery, but the dep was a real pro - thanks Al - so it presented few problems other than the fact that I had to sing 100% of the lead vocals instead of 60%!

Had to arrive to set up at 6.00 for 7.30pm sound check, guests arriving at 7.45... didn't actually start playing until 10.15 because of dinner, speeches etc... ended up not playing the requested two 45 min sets, but one 100 minutes set because once we got them up dancing we didn't want to have a break and let them sit down again!

Hard work, but good fun and the scenery made the wait worthwhile (lots of 21 year-old girls wearing not very much... too much for an old git like me....:-) )

Oh, and we got fed too :-))

I played last night, nice local gig with great crowd. Arrived at 6, set up almost all the kit we have in terms of Light and PA so weren't ready for soundcheck till 8:30. Played till 12:00 then enjoyed some food and after hours beer with the staff. Got completely wrecked, left the gear there and tore it down this morning at 10

Played Friday night as well. Another great local gig, good crowd and good money. Tomorrow I'm gigging in a special band put together to play a load of Thin Lizzi songs for ST Patricks day.

Yeah, played last night at one of our regular haunts in the darkest depths of Hertfordshire with my indie/new wave/powerpop covers band,
always an enthusiastic crowd (if slightly on the - how shall I put it?- 'mature' side)
    tho' no spring chicken myself,
Most entertaining to see a bunch of 40/50somethings jumping around to 'Animal Nitrate'
