    Default Busking experience

Hey guys, so I'm looking to earn a little money and I'm thinking of going busking with a Classical guitar, I've played classical guitar for 10 years now so I'm not inexperienced, but I was wondering what it pays like, (I'm aware there are a lot of variables) and any experiences you guys have busking, and hopefully some tips too! I have the feeling a playing fast show-off type pieces will give the best results but I'm not sure.

I was thinking of doing this too lately, except playing acoustic blues rather than classical. I know some guys who go busking in liverpool and usually make a bit of money, not sure they'd mind anyway I think they mainly do it for an excuse to play.
Looking for a good Wah pedal? Budda, Fulltone, RMC Teese? Anyone got anything?

I got £5 an hour in covent garden 10 years ago at Christmas...it used to be if you did it full time you could get like £10k a year...
Try it out for an afternoon maybe, like on a Saturday in your local High Street

Go for it, me and a friend got about £60 one afternoon playing scottish folk stuff. The tourists love it. Make sure you make it obvious you are busking, by having the hat out, and trying to make eye contact with passers by. Smile too. Oh, and you might need a license, if you're gonna do it in a city. Can probably get away without one in a small town though (we do). Oh, and if it's solo guitar you might want an amp or something. Oh, and be ready for people requesting Wonderwall, Smoke on the Water, Back in Black..... This doesn't mean you have to play them.
You wouldn't let it lie, would you?
