    Ok, here goes...

Rickenbacker 330 - 4/5 Great for clean playing but not so great at staying in tune for long
Fender MIJ 'JD' Telecaster - 3/5 Interesting in-between sounds but overall a little bit thin
Fender '72 custom Telecaster - 4/5 After bridge pickup change and electronics upgrade
Fender USA Standard telecaster - 3/5 A really dependable guitar just without any vibe
Fender JV sig Stratocaster - 4/5 Better after pickup upgrade but I still need another strat...
Fender '51 Nocaster - 5/5 Everything I ever need in one guitar, worth every penny
Gibson SG Standard - 4/5 Now much more useable after being retrofited with BG P90's
Gibson '61 reissue SG - 5/5 Tuned to open E, takes care of all my slide guitar needs
Gibson Historic '57 Goldtop Les Paul - 5/5 A fantastic guitar in every way
Gibson J45 acoustic - 4/5 Sometimes a bit middy, otherwise a great workhorse acoustic

I have others guitars but these are the ones that I actually play on a semi-regular basis.
It would be interesting (for me anyway) to do the same for amps...

Guyatone something, single pickup, circa 1985, 1
columbus LP - 0, crap, would have made a good mallet though

Squier 1987 Tele, 3.5 after the mods, but with the best neck.
Aria Pro II fretless bass, 4
Epiphone LP Classic Plus, 3. Pale imitation of the real thing

Futurama frankenstein, modded by my dear father with an active preamp - 2/5 at the time, 0/5 now (no redeeming features whatsoever)
Columbus HM Tele - 5/5 at the time, 3/5 now (first experience with a locking trem....ohhhhh yeeaahhhhhhh)
Squier Strat - 4/5 - most versatile guitar I've ever had, shame my cousin wrecked it

    ESP Mk 3 (I think) - 3/5
Fender HMX - 2/5 (bad swap for the Del Rey)

taylors are nice to play, but tonally retarded (IMHO). Try a few Breedloves, Wechters, Brooks ect.
