Cover band demos

All the music was recorded in the studio. We think a studio recording sounds better than a live mix to a non-musical customer. Some of the recording are quite old, in fact half of them are before my time.

Photos are difficult. We are not particularly photogenic, and we haven't invested in a photoshoot. We think that live shots are actually more helpful because they convey what the band looks like in the wedding venues which our customers are using. Building a proper gallery is another future project

I think a lot of people have got wise to studio recordings now, your average 14 year old with Garage Band and a few tuning plugings can make complete beginners sound fantastic

Agree with the live photos though, it's pointless taking the old "band standing against a brick wall" type shot, live photos look so much better.

I picked up a Digi001 the other week and will be doing a demo or three in Pro Tools over the next few weeks.

Have to wait until pay-day (this Friday!) before I can get a set of drum mics, clips, etc and then we'll be good to go.

Will post the results here, but it'll definitely be a "live" recording............just without the crowd ambience?!
