    Default Pedals and power supplies.

Ok, So just got a dunlop DC brick off of danny on here to go on my pedal board.

Slight problem, It doesnt power half the stuff on my board!
Wont work with my DL4, Whammy or my wireless (wasnt sure this would work anyways).

Its so annoying! Anyone know any ways around it or any advice to try and make my pedal board as less cluttered with power supplies?!

    Cheers.

I think the line6 likes AC power, not DC, and needs quite a lot of juice. Either the line6 one, or a Voodoo Labs.

Mmm. I know what you mean. I have to have 3 supplies on my board because my Blackstar pedal has it's own 16v supply, my digitech EX-7 uses a special Harman 9v/1amp supply then I have a Soundlab Powerbank for my other pedals. Plus the mains 4-way to run them all off. they take up about 1/3 of my board!

There are supplies that will provide mixed voltages (9,12,18) but they cost - lookup Burkey Flatliner and Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2

Also you can get a voltage steppers - look up the GigRig Virtual Battery and Godlyke Power Pump
    Red ones are better.

    Hi Ash,
The DL-4 is 9V AC from what I remember of mine ? Sorry to here it's not powering all your pedals.... but I guess it's now an opportunity to buy more 9V DC pedals !!

I've got a pedal power 2 plus on order - should be nice!

If you want to sell the power supply PM me, I have use for one on my 2nd board! You could then upgrade...

yeah I think im going to try and get rid of the Line 6 DL4 for a Boss DD-20 and then just use a 4 way to deal with the Whammy, wireless and DC brick.

Time to get a bigger pedal board i think....

The DL-4 will power from 9V DC as long as the MA is high enough. . the Burkey Flatliner will power a DL-4 and a Whammy together.

What iver found is that its the connector cables for the DC brick that dont fit, theyre too small to fit in the DL4 and Whammy.

Does anyone know if those old Whammy 2 pedals (the black plastic (i think) ones where it had a bypass button and a scroll thru presets button) would work with the standard dunlop power supplies that work with the Boss pedals and stuff?

I prefer their footswitch layout too and that would sort out my problems!

You don't want them to fit! The DL4 and the Whammy will need AC power not DC power that you're getting from your brick. You'll need separate power supplies for your AC stuff and you DC stuff. Try www.effectpowersupplies.com.
