    Smile Bad Horsie!

Thinking about trying a Morley wah. Anybody got one? Iīve met two players so far whoīve had one and one loved it and the other hated it. Please give any opinion on this. I would like to know everything before buying something new and donīt know if itīs worth getting rid of my crybaby.

    Cheers!

The bad horsie is great for what it is, which is a bad horsie wah pedal.

Beware though, that the wah pedal is nay the best for yer vintage sounds. Try it out and see though. Horses for courses and all that.

I got bitten on the shoulder by a horse once. That was quite bad.
    Red ones are better.

I have the morley power wah.

Not a very popular wah and most people warn you off it, but I think its great.
And I have previously owned several dunlops, RMC's, S Castledines etc and not been that impressed.

I have a Morley PWO - think it must be an older model coz there is no volume knob on it, got it from GAK for Ģ48. Just beware that you might have to adjust the L.E.D. inside - I had to tweak mine as I would lose volume in the heel down position. That said, an easy job to do and I'm well happy with it.

I have the Morley Mark Tremonti Wah, and I think it's bloomin' awesome. I like the fact it doesn't have a switch like the Crybabys, you just step on the pedal and away you go. It also has a Wah Boost knob so you can have extra volume during solos. I was tempted by the Bad Horsie, but the Tremonti won me over.

Hi I had a Bad Horsie and I sold it to get a Jen with the Fasel inductor.

I bought some other Morley pedals in between times as I really liked the construction but the sweep of all of the pedals has been waaaaaaay to small for what I wanted.

The Bad Horsie is an optical wah it works by having an LED and LDR and a window between them. Vai or someone at Morley must have figured this could mean you could do interesting things which they did.. the shutter between the LED and LDR has two windows so on the press down you get two wahs... and two on the wah back up ... but it's not small enough to shape the sound of the guitar like Satriani might do using the wah...

Bad Horsie - great build, lousy sweep, quirky usage for playing the wahhed part of Sweet Child o mine, didn' like the tone either.
