GT8 as an amp sim/interface

Was thinking about using my GT8 as an amp sim and taking a line out into my interf\ce & recording it.

Anyone done this?

I do it often. As with everything on the GT8, it can take ages to get it sounding how you like. Mess around with the different output types (Line/Stack/Combo etc) as they all vary by a great amount. Sometimes I prefer one, sometimes another.

I sometimes find it sounds better without the amp sim on also.

It can be a bugger but it's fun if you have time spare.
