Default power bricks- wiring two ouputs together

    hey guys

i have one of those soundlab power bricks with the 6 outputs, each giving (i believe) 75mA

the trouble is i have just bought a Boss DD20 delay, and it needs much more than 75mA.

is there a way to wire two or three of the outputs together to provide the necessary current, but maintain the 9v output?

electronics isnt my strong point as you can tell!

I don't think the outputs are isolated, so I'm not sure stacking them will give you more power. But essentially you'd just wire the PSU end plugs in parallel.

I'd be tempted just to get an extra supply for that one pedal.

Um. I'm not totally sure on that actually; at a guess I'd say you could use just one output but leave free as many other out puts as make up the current you need (so if you need 200mA, use one and leave two free - 225mA). I'd be guessing that the current draw is limited over the whole unit not per output - I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than me will be along soonish. In the meantime I'll try to find a schematic...

cheers for the info guys, i have a few free slots on the power supply so leaving them that way would certainly be the easiest way to go about it.

failing that, a new PSU i think. damn my board was looking so tidy
