Is arrived. Took me an hour or three with the superglue to get it back together but I think I got it about right.

So you've upgraded the original construction already? I thought they use blutack in the factories ...

I do NOT want to hear how good it is.

It's not bad, actually. Neat fretwork, the neck is quite comfy. Stays in tune fine, no buzz anywhere. The model selector knob is a little wiggly but ok. The various bits of hardware seem fine, and the volume and tone knobs are nice and smooth.

It sounds pretty good too; I'm not hugely fussed how convincing it all is, but the acoustics are surprisingly good, the sitar guitar is hilarious and the various electrics give a really good range of sounds. The 12s are a bit odd sounding - not a patch on the VG-88 12 strings. I might have to get Gearbox to do some more interesting alternate tunings though.

The guts will be rehoused on the Morgan course. Into something sparkly and blue.

Now I'm disappointed ... couldn't you have made your own guts to stick into your Morgan build? I've looked at electronics, and it's not at all difficult. You just need a couple of chip-thingys, some solder, and big shiny box to put it all in. Tis easy.

You still going with P-Rails as well

I think it'll just have dummy pickups. With wiring channels and such, so that I can always plumb it all in later.

Still bring a wiring / switching diagram though ... just in case someone else brings a couple of P-Rails, and hasn't quite got to grips with ALL the intricacies of that electrickery stuff ...

Apparently you meet all sorts of challenged people on such courses ... I must remember to book somewhere ...
