FS: Cream Tolex 2 yds (187cm)

I'm calling this tolex, but it may be some other material used for covering amps. I'm told it came direct from Marshall amps.....here's the story.

I don't know if any of you will remember when that stunning Marshall JCM 2000 DSL 100 + matching 2x12" cab went on ebay a while back.....the one with cream tolex and checkerboard grill?

Anyway,I bought it from the original owner and then sold it on. It was the chap that bought from me that put it on ebay.

I always intended to give him the spare tolex that came with it as soon as I had moved house and found it again. That never happened, and now I'm having a clear out I finally found it again.

The original owner told me that the amp was custom finished by Marshall when he ordered it. Apparently they don't offer this service anymore. They lobbed the left over tolex into the box and sent it out to him.

The piece is 187cm x 72cm. It has been rolled up and taped since I got it so the majority is in very clean condition. The ends are a bit dirty from dust build up.

My original plan was to build a pedalboard and use this for the case. When I sold the amp I considered using it to cover DIY amp built from kit.....but I never got round to doing that either. Now, it is surplus to requirements.

Looking for prices online I've had trouble getting accurate details. It seems that it normally retails at about £25 per metre (but what width?). That would be nearly £50 for my bit which seems ludicrous.

Is this enough for a 1960A 4x12?

Shouldn't have thought it's enough for a 4x12", I'm looking at sprucing up a 2x10" if it'll stretch to it.

I don't own a cab of any shape or size and I have no clue about how to do such things. So I can't really confirm or deny its suitability for your needs.
