    Question pickup wiring?

    Hi,
I'm new to this forum, so don't know if this is the right place to post this? If it's anything like other forums I'm sure someone will tell me where to go
I built a guitar some time ago and it's got twin-coil pickups, and twin push-pull volume pots, anyone know how to wire the pickups so I can use them single or twin coil?
I don't really want to start taking wires off of bits 'till I know where they go

Depends on the pickups - different manufacturers use different colour codes for the wires. D'you know what make and model they were?

I've taken it apart ( a bit), It doesn't say what they are. There's red and white wires ( no black). These are some pics of it.

Or not. Tried to attach pics, apparently they're too big Kb wise.

Any ideas how I can post these?

If not, end of thread, no probs, I'll find out somehow else.

If you want, send them to me at rstobbs@sonoma.co.uk then I'll resize them and post them for you?

Cheers Lexie, they'll be on their way a bit later. Is it tricky to do that? It'd be quite handy to be able to do it myself in future.

If they've only got two wires each then you probably can't split them.

Oh well, wouldn't surprise me. The fella who did the wiring originally said they could be, and that's why I got the push-pull pots. He didn't have time to do it then, now he's moved!

Looks like I'll have to get a couple new pickups

That'd certainly be the most likely reason.
