    Default Pick up upgrade help..

    Hi can anyone help????
    I have a stunning strat looks and plays exactly how i want but amplified sound shite. I play Iron Maiden and GnR music like that, but what pickups should i upgrade to? Dimarzio chopper/super dist/fast track2???? Shops aint helping anyone suggest from experiece...pleasssseeeeeeee

    What kind of guitar are they going in?

    What is your budget?

    In my experience, Seymour Duncan / Dimarzio / Bulldog / Bare Knuckle will all do the job nicely.

    In which case the stock pickups will probably be ok - but if you want to get humbuckers without changing the scratchplate then go for hot-rails by seymour duncan.

    Get a new pickguard - a HSS one and get a 'proper' humbucker in there. There's loads of good choices...I'd say from Duncan either the JB, Custom or Distortion. Dimarzio and BK do good stuff aswell. But in a nutshell a full size bucker sounds better and thicker than a 'toy size' one. Oh yes.
