    I guess because it was a bit of a mess; the oversized headstock, a body with almost no contours and mini humbuckers plus the pancake sandwich body really weren't what people wanted from a Les Paul. In reality the only real 'upgrade' you could do was a pickup change. Nice guitars if you can find one that doesn't weigh as much as a Ford Transit.

    This one's not too bad weight wise, I'd put it high 8's early 9's. Comparable with some of the modern pieces today.

    I do like this guitar and is now in a really good, honest and playable condition in my opinion BUT I just can't get on with the neck profile these days (quite thin a bit like the 60's slim taper modern Gibsons have), hence the sale.
