How many guitars?

I think I need a few more thinking about it. I sold a beautiful Tanglewood super jumbo 12 string electro acoustic a few years ago and have regretted it since - so would love another 12 string. Would like a double neck guitar, just for fun, Normal Tele, Tele with a neck humbucker, resonator, electro-acoustic nylon string, Flying V - for the fun, Esquire...I've said to my wife before - for every handbag or pair of shoes she buys, I should be able to buy a guitar! She didn't buy it! :-)

My first guitar - cheapo generic asian acoustic - £45 27 years ago - virtually unplayable but can't bring myself to ditch it!
Yamaha travel nylon strung thingy.

I could easily justify a better strat, a second tele, a good acoustic and a jazz bass. Beyond justification but still on the wanted list is an Explorer, a 339, a precision and a PRS Custom 24. I could go on, and haven't started on amps yet!

Like most other guitarists my list of "guitars to own" keeps on growing, much to the bemusement of my wife who utters the question on a regular basis, "Why do you need so many guitars?"

That's when you counter "Why do you need so many shoes?"

In total; including basses and acoustics I have 21.
I currently use 8 of these, for the different pick-up sounds etc.
I have no intention of stopping, no matter what the good lady says!!

I have 13 electrics and 2 basses. This is too many, but I still want more. Lots more.

I have 18 (inc. basses and acoustics) at the moment. Most do different things - different pickups, tunings, acoustic, electric, hollow, solid, etc etc.

Still feel the need for a Jacksonesque metal guitar and a resonator or two.
