I have an SG Special faded 3-pickup in worn white, the tone and sustain are superb and it holds its tuning well, the best £450 i ever spent!

I absolutely love it, if only I could play it as well it deserves to be played.,

Oooh. Not that I'm a sucker for blue guitars with black pickguards, but that's the nicest SG I have ever seen.

Nicer than a Les Paul, not as good as a 335.

I realised the other week that I have literally never played an SG. They sound great, but the shape just isn't exciting enough to make me want one...

...and yes, you should judge a guitar on how it sounds and plays. But seeing as there are so many pretty, nice sounding, nice playing guitars, why settle for an "ok" one?

Can't really get past the neck heavyness but then I only tried the Gibson Special Faded SG. Perhaps with other models it's not so noticable?

A particularly cool SG featured on one of my favourite albums from the 70's, I wouldn't mind of one these

Out of focus ideology, keep the masses from majority

They rock, but are neck heavy - still fancy one though!

See, I don't get this "neck-heavy" myth. I have 2 SGs ( a Special with a thinnish neck and a Classic with a more chunky neck) and they both stay put with a wide strap - where's the problem? Oh, and I vote "Legends"!

Kinnell, I remember them! I had a great album of theirs in about 1973, had a track called "Bananas" and another called (IIRC) "Get Up" - quality stuff! I seem to recall they had 2 guitarists, both playing SGs - where are they now?
