The suhr arrived this morning and its a little bit nice! Goregoues feeling neck, nice and lightweight, flawless fretwork and set-up too. Only downsides so far is that its a little dark sounding through my speakers so might change the pots for a higher value or a diff cap perhaps.

Off to find that cable......

Yup, all my gas points used up till the wedding i suspect! I was actually told to buy this one without even asking so there was no way i was going to turn down that offer!

Stupidly (or not!?) no i didnt, theres not a dealer anywhere near me and all i was looking for was a top quality built strat with a good trem and a reasonably lightweight, also with a good resale value just in case i go off strats again or needed to sell it in future.

Tbh though, ive been playing the guitar all afternoon and i cant really fault anything apart from it being slightly dark (as said, probably my speakers im using with GR3 - going to take it into a shop soon and demo it through some nice amps to check). The neck profile is a near match for my SE soapy (my current fave neck), theres a teeniest bit of fret sprout but im letting it settle for a week or so because it had a lot of condensation inside the case when i first opened it and was bloody freezing!

Cant see me letting this one go anytime soon because structurally its exactly what i wanted and strats are rather easy/fun to mod anyway! Chances are, if it goes itll be as a trade-in towards a custom built suhr standard

Heres the tele i need to get back in action too, the neck is a new warmoth one, body is a squier. Havent really got any parts left that im planning to keep on it so if rules allow, im going to use it for the £100 challenge.
