Quick questions I have a couple of these at home and im thinking about selling one of them it was the top of the pacifica range when it was new about 6 years ago or so translucent blue seymour duncan pickups wilkinson tremelo and sperzel locking machine heads
Its seen quite a bit of use theres corrosion on some of the hardware and the pickups but everything works 100% fine other bad thing are a small crack in the pickguard and a few small knocks on the back of the neck and the frets are pretty worn
what do you think is a sensible asking price? given those condition bearing in mind it is a good guitar with a cool hardware
well the new price (if you can still find them) is about £450-£500, i think? generally i work on between about 40-75% of the new price (depending on condition- 75%, maybe even slightly more, if it's mint, that kind of thing- obviously less than 40% if it's completely trashed ), so i dunno, £200-£300? really depends on the condition, i know you've described it, but I'd need to see it to be sure. a fretcrown/refret can be pretty expensive, so if it needs one of those, that's not going to help matters...
one was on sale in a local shop (s/h), but i can't remember how much it was. i'm guessing around £300, though, maybe slightly more (shop prices will be higher than private sales).
EDIT: don't get me wrong, i like pacifica 812s a lot. it's just better to tell you a little low, and then you may be pleasantly surprised, which is better than getting your hopes up only for you to be disappointed.
i should add that i don't sell that much, it's just generally from seeing what second-hand stuff tends to go for compared to the new price. depends on how quickly you want to sell too, if you're in no rush you can hold out for a better price etc.
checking ebay wouldn't hurt either, to see what they usually go for.
