    What you'll probs notice with both of them is that on practically all attenuators the top end goes walkies.....and on some bassy sounding older amps that may not be desireable.

    Yeh I've had a Hot Plate in the past so I'm aware of the downsides. However, the alternative is blowing up peoples ears everytime I play.

    I've just bought a Marshall Powerbrake and an Ultimate Attenuator within 24 hours. I think I'm fine for attenuators at the moment!

    Tim - He has 2 of them if you're still after one!?

    I'm confident I'll get my money back if it doesn't work out. The model I have is quite a bit over $800 and at todays exchange rate that's a lot more than the £250 I paid.

    If the worst comes to the worst, forumites can have either of the attenuators at exactly what I paid.
