Default DS404 panel, possible fix: duct tape

Is it just me or when you save does the DS404 completely lose all settings, forcing you to either redo all the envelopes, filters, transpose settings and pitchbend range or simply throw away your computer and take up something nice, like pottery or playing the flute?

Only if you don't read the friendly manual. Look up the section on Advanced Patch Management.

Believe me, there are very few bugs in the current release of DS404 that we don't already know about and have fixed in the next version. If anyone can find a bona-fide bug I'll give them a $100 Muon plugin pack as per my earlier post on the subject.

Just right click on the yellow E in the patch screen and select "Memory Protect Off". Your patch will now be saved. As Dave points out, its all explained in the manual...

Hmm. I'd rather users click "Save Patch" and leave the Memory Protect status well alone - otherwise they won't have access to the APM features when you need them during sequencing.

However, there's one thing that does need to be fixed. If you edit a patch, don't store it properly in memory and then save to disk your edits will be lost. This bug is fixed in the next version.

    Cheers

thanks to everyone who replied, as usual i completely missed the manual and chose the path of aimless clicking.

If someone put an Akai sampler in front of you with no manual, you'd get roughly nowhere by stabbing buttons. Same goes for DS404

    Cheers
