    Default Yamaha sg2000 or 3000 anyone?

    Hello everybody.... I am looking for a Yamaha sg2000 or 3000, hopefully from late 70's early 80's. If someone out there has one and is not interested on selling I would also trade it for a totally mint Ibanez artist AS200 from 1983 (yes, is Japanese), all original, including the case. I'll post pics of the Ibanez AS200 this evening.

    I hate to say this, but best bet is probably evilBay.

    Decent SG2000s from that era will be >£600, and don't come up too often. Look out for Chingo*** (*** = something I can't remember!). He's a Jap guy who hunts out those 70s/80s Jap guitars over there and sells them thru eBay over here. Excellent service.

    SG2000 = brilliant guitars.

    But you know that already

    Interested in pics of the Artist.

    Yes I did. I got £800 for it but it was mint and totally without issues.

    A fabulous guitar and very much sidelined in favour of the Les Paul. The only downside was the sheer weight of the beast.

    You should be able to get a 1500/2000/3000 no problem as there seem to be plenty. Be prepared to pay a decent price for a good one.

    You surprise me, Sir! My LP weighs 500g MORE than my SG2k. If weight was the issue I'd let the LP go. Likewise versatility. But neither is the issue with me - I just neeed both instruments

    What kind of LP are we talking here?

    SG2000 is one of the heaviest guitars I've ever laid my hands on. It's also one of the nicest I've ever laid my hands on.

    I'd keep an eye on eBay.

    Hi Guys, thanks for all the answers. I've already been looking on ebay with no luck. If you know something please let me know. Here I post some pictures of my Ibanez Artist AS200, a real beauty....it would be great to have my LP custom beside it right next to a yamaha sg3000...mmmmmmm. I think I am going to play for a while before going out with my other love (girlfriend ;-)).
    ps: musophilr: I am also curious, which kind of LP do you own?
