    Default Taylor Electrics?

    Anyone tried/own one of these? Seem to remember a walnut topped one a while back - nsureits possibly?

    Just noticed theyre pretty dam cheap now compared to when they first came out, are they any good soundwise though? Im pretty sure build wont be a problem but......!!!

    Ive not tried them but i have also seen the prices tumble down

    form me recollection the review i have read were pretty luke warm

    I actually had a T5 Hybrid. The Taylor solids are pretty good, I played some at the Dallas Guitar Show. Prices range from £1200 for the Standard to £1700 for the Custom.

    Unlucky N, here theyre from £600 to £1200 ish now, they were nearly doubloe 6 months ago!

    looks like a few companies prices are comign down

    look at the gary kramer site you can get his guitars insanely cheap now shame they all have floyd rose though

    I think the custom with the walnut top is £1.2k on Thomsonne (you know that German site) compared to £2k when it came out. From what i remember of the review biuld quality is ace, and the bridge sounds great but they weren't overly taken with the neck pup. Also, the chambered body meant it was a bit unbalanced, IIRC.

    I like the look (and sounds on youtube) of the entry level with the solid ash body, never had a chance to play one though. Tempting for the 25" PRS-esq scale alone...

    The walnut custom is giving me GAS. But for half the cost, I'm looking for one of these:
