Default can i do this in cubase.....

i've had a good look and cant work it out.

can i change the volume of all the faders in cubase at once? i.e like in protools holding alt. you drag one down and all the others move the same amount.

please someone put me out of my misery. if i cant do it im going to have to create a big bus, a big red double decker one.

    many thanks.

    Can't you just group them?

You'll notice that Folder tracks have similar controls to regular tracks, including Mute, Solo, Record, Monitor and Lock buttons, and using any of these controls affects all the tracks contained within the Folder.

The simplest way for what you want to do is to just select the first track you want linked by clicking on it in the mixer, and then hold down shift and click the last track you want linked.
Obviously you need to have all the tracks you want linked lined up next to each other as the shift click method will select all from point A to point B in a straightline.

Then right click on one of the selected tracks and choose 'link selected'. Now any fader moves etc will affect all the tracks.

To unlink them then right click again and choose 'unlink'.

If you don't want to re-arrange the order of the tracks in the mixer, then just Ctrl click each one you want linked to select multiple tracks that way, and right click/link as before.

You need to be right clicking in the mixer, not in the project window. When you have selected one or more channels and right click on one of them, you shuld see an option to 'Link Channels'. Near the top of the dialogue drop down that appears when you right click.

    +1.

I don't use them on all my projects - but when you get to 40 - 100+ tracks.. it's pretty much a given that you'll group things.

glad you got your problem sorted!
