We don't find out until tomorrow. Worse, those of us who aren't on the list don't get any positive confirmation of that - we just have to wait until 3pm, and if we haven't had a phone call then we're safe.

I'm actually feeling the need to be openly hostile in that meeting, should it happen. This is the third time through the process, and I've been the nice guy the last two goes round. I fancy a change

    Go for it.

The one time that I lost my job I called my ex-boss a "dumb shit mother f*cker same as all the other selfish small minded useless cretins trying to convince themselves that they are doing a good job".

I felt much better for it.

Cheers, guys. At the very least, I want to be fairly tough in getting some answers. Redundancies are usually a last resort, but I haven't seen any evidence that they've made any effort to cut costs apart from a half-hearted "we're going to stop travelling between offices so much" in the last few weeks. If it's so bad that they have to jump straight to laying people off, I'm not sure I have any confidence in their ability to provide me with gainful employment for the near future whether I make it through the selection process or not.

    We'll see....

Oddly - losing my job was the best thing to happen to me - work wise. It made me start my own company.

I've often heard that. My dad did the same thing and it's something I'm thinking of...
