Default 2003 anniversary model Les Paul

    Hi Guys,

As much as I will regret this, I have my much loved LP up for grabs.

It is a 2003 anniversary model in light-burst, professionally set up by Charlie Chandler. Very minor buckle wear at rear, slight nick at front near pickup selector, otherwise near mint condish. Never gigged, hardly played at all in the last 18 months.

Comes in OHSC and sounds like a absolute gem.

I dont really want to sell her, but I am trying to fund a one year expedition across Africa in my Land Rover, so need every penny I can get.

I am after around £1200 or very nearest offer.

    Pictures here:

    Thanks very much.

Yes, I have swallowes my pride & put the pictures on Photobucket! Man, Photobucket is not as easy as everyone made out though! Maybe I'm just a bit thick.

    Any offers then?

    Will consider anything over £1000.

I dont know exactly what anniversary it is to be honest.
I read about it when I was in the market for it initially, in one of the magazines.

I think it is something to do with being the 50th anniversary of Gibson as we know it today, and this particular model was made with the same techniques as old Gibsons were made of between 1953 & 1959 (which would be the anniversary of the Standard model.)

I also think there was mention made of there being that extra bit of material in the body (in the cutaway between the maple cap & the mahogany) which - apparently - did not appear on models before 2003. The pickups are also replicas of original 50's pickups.

Either way, it is a stunning guitar, and I will be very, very sorry to see her go, but this drive across Africa is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me which is costing me an arm & a leg, and I need every single penny I can get.

Les Pauls were released in 1952.

Do you have anymore info RE: the anniversary?
    What's the serial?
