Annoying buzz/hum

Hi wondering if anyone can help... I have a custom shop 59 strat with lollar pickups... sound fantast with a little gain or clean, but if you try to dial in a heavy gain it has this annoying buzz/hum that just stands out when playing or if guitar is not played (volume on).. what can it be... i thought it was from my pedal board but it isnt and blackstar distx is fine too..
Can you off some insight???

Its called "singlecoils"

Not enough shielding. Single coil pickups are more vulnerable to picking up noise but shielding can certainly improve matters.
