    Always been intrigued by these on old LP Customs etc etc, any alternatives available from anywhere other than Thorn or SD?

    Didn`t Hofner do some sort of staple tops, don`t know how easy / pricey they`d be to get hold of though.
    Brandoni`s in Wembley might be worth a ring, they`ve got all manner of weird and wonderfull pups lying around there
    Old enough to know better.
