    yeah good choice, probably the best one to go for offered on this thread for a beginner..

    for £30 local though id have still chosen the STG003 you mentioned on your other thread, the Yammy will serve you well though.

    really!? argh im so confused! too many guitars?!
    Okay from a completely neutral point of view...for me...in a band...jamming with more experienced guitarists, which would be the better choice.....

    The Yamaha is likely to be the easiest to play and their guitars are great throughout their range. You've got humbuckers and a single coil on there so you've got tone flexibility. I think it'd be a good choice for you. The deal is good too!

    My guitar and other Les Paul style guitars are probably harder work. They're really aimed at people who want a Les Paul above all else. I did and I now own an Epiphone Les Paul Standard and a Gibson Les Paul as I've slowly been uprgrading.

    It depends on what you perceive as your ideal guitar, even if that's just based on looks at the moment. You're unlikely to be disappointed by the Yamaha though would be my guess, seeing as it was the first one posted up that seemed to excite you, so I'd have a crack at that first. You'll always be able to chop and change later.
