Default Who had the GT8 for sale?

I'm thinking of going for it....

.... How much did you want? and where are you located?

Cant say for def yet, as ill need to check funds for the coming month (spun my car off the motorway on ice the other night so need to get stuff repaired!) however, its quite likely.as I've been de-gassing.

I should also mention that if you're still interested in the Epi Dot with Gator case that Mark was selling, I can't really keep it so you can have it for £150 the same price he was selling it for.

Cool, I'm very interested and i feel i should at least give it a try.... however....

I've had bad experiences with multi effects generally sounding pretty bad. E.g. the effects not being as good as individual stomps.

Obviously the GT8 wont be as good as individual ones costing pretty much the same, but are they pretty realistic/good?

I'm pretty sure the GT8 is the best of the bunch. To be honest, keep your distortion pedals analogue and the rest is probably not too bad.

Yeah I'm gonna be using the Drives from my JVM so no need for worrying there.

I think I'll probably give it a go and see what happens, worst case scenario, I'll end up selling it on i spose.

Fair point...but if you *can* get happy with the amp modelling, it's supremely convenient for quick recordings (straight over S/PDIF into your PC). Besides, you can setup patches for live...patches for recording...patches for external gain sources, etc. depending on what you're up to.

    When I had a GT-6, I gigged it hooked-up to a Marshall JMP-1.

They're not bad at all. I think you'd have to be going some to really show up the GT-8 with your average stompbox (I've got tremolo pedals that cost more than this). It's also easy to hook-up a CTL switch or the exp pedal for realtime control of parameter(s).

For what it's worth, a couple of years ago, I recorded a 'ditty' using ONLY untweaked factory preset patches: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...songID=4907595

    Hope that's not a put-off

You'll then end up with the exact same setup as I had and you know how I felt about that!

    T'was unbeleivably good.
