Good thread, certainly made me think.

For me it would have to be Red Hot Chili Peppers - By The Way. Not a duffer on there as far as I'm concerned.

Other albums which are pretty near perfect in my estimation would be:

Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral
    Radiohead - The Bends
    Jeff Buckley - Grace

The wife votes U2's Joshua Tree FTW. (I don't!)

Right. I've thought long and hard about this.
There are several albums I love to listen to all the way through, so this has been very difficult to pare down.
I've managed to narrow it down to the following:

    Aereogramme - Sleep and Release

The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds

Cocteau Twins - Blue Bell Knoll

Guided By Voices - Mag Earwig!

    My Bloody Valentine - Loveless

    Opeth - Damnation

    Slayer - Reign In Blood

    Ulver - Blood Inside

    Weezer - Blue Album

None of my all-time favourite bands in that list whatsoever, which is very interesting.
Don't ask me when I began to hate
    Coz I don't recall a time I didn't

There is only two perfect albums ever.

    Fleetwood Mac - Rumours

Pink Floyd - Wish you were here

Weezer's first album. 'Surf Wax America' is my least favourite, but if I'm listening to the album front to back, I'll still listen to it straight through.
I'm back and better than ever.

It's weird, isn't it? All your 'favourite' albums end up being not so great with closer scrutiny. Well, with me anyway!
A few have mentioned the Weezer album already. I've never heard it, but I mentioned it to the guy at work who first started this off and he was like "yeah, you're right" when he thought about it. Again, not his favourite album or band but he couldn't think of a bad song on it. I'm going to have to check it out!

Keep more coming, it's throwing up lots of stuff I've never heard of before!

Another vote for Kind Of Blue

    I would also pick:
    Aerosmith - Aerosmith
    GnR - Appetite For Destruction
    Nirvana - Nevermind

and very nearly the Beatles' White Album but Revolution 9 really sucks
    All practice and no theory
