Default Music equipment Car Boot Sale?

If I said to you all that I was organising a giant used music equipment sale here in Devon this summer.

Would any of you be interested?

I'm part way through he organisation and am just gauging interest?

So you would get charged a fee for a stall and people coming would pay a small entrance fee.

Like a Record Fair, but with musical equipment. This Summer in Devon.

    Your thoughts please...

sounds like a good idea. but personally I wouldnt buy anything electrical at a car boot sale.

I go to a car boot sale most weekends and just dont even look at any electric items. past experience tells me a lot of the time its faulty, and you end up wasting your money.

Some friends of mine have moved near Devon so I'd be tempted to pay it a visit if I'm free.

How are you going to drum up enough interest to get enough people involved for it to be worthwhile? Also Devon isn't exactly central to the UK so you might find that you're missing out on a lot of people who can't be bothered to make the trip. Not having a go, just curious, particularly if it's a money spinner for you. I think it's a great idea if you can make it work.

The amount of used kit here in the South West is unbelievable! Old barns full of vintage kit....

Lots of studios, musos, engineers, guitarists etc etc

    and biscuits!

I think it sounds like a good idea.

If there are a few folk who fancy going we could pool rides even if only for part of the trip - I'd happily drive a few from here (Swindon) if folk trained or drove this far.

    HobKnobs?

I'd be there. Just a thought, though. What about people who only have one thing to sell/exchange? It'd be pointless having a stall, so maybe some sort of swap-shop area? We needn't involve Noel though
