    Default Recording V-drums

    HI everyone
I need to record v-drums, and don't think the preset sounds are all too good, so have tried with midi. I use a tascam fireone and logic express 7. I am triggering free acoustic drum samples through battery 3, but when I tried to record I suffered from very bad latency issues. Is there an easy way to reduce latency or a different sampler/instrument i could use to record midi in time?

    cheers

Record the midi notes, while monitoring with your "poor" samples on the drum brain.

When you've recorded the midi notes, you'll be able to assign them the sound with no latency at all - since all the notes have been played.

Reduce the buffer size in logic is also another work around, but this will almost always be audible on some level).
