    Default Can't load CM DVDs

I just got a new laptop, and for some reason it won't load the CM DVDs. My other PC will, and my laptop will load every other DVD I try, but it has not managed to load any of the CM ones that I've tried. The laptop is an Acer Aspire 5735, and the DVD drive is HL-DT-ST-DVDRAM GT10N.

    Anyone had similar issues?

    No help from anyone then?

CM discs are dual layer, no? Is it compatible? Instead of autoplay can you right-click the DVD in My Computer and select "Explore"? Is it recognised correctly in Device Manager?

Yeah, it even burns dual layer disc, so it's not that. It just acts as if there's no disc in (although it attempts to find something for a minute or so). and the drive is recognised, and works with every other disc I've tried it with. I haven't a clue what to try.

Well no help from anyone on here, I emailed the relevant contact for support and over a month later I have heard nothing. I love the magazine, but piss poor customer service. I'm a little disappointed to be honest. Does nobody from CM come and check thier own forum? What's the point in advertising the forums in the magazine, or in having a DVD support section on here?

    Hi Tim

I had the same problems with one of my discs on both my PC and laptop and returned it to CM at the address on the DVD - they replaced it with one that worked fine. I have also had one that refused to play on the PC but played on the laptop and I transferred the files using a memory pen.
