One of the best out there is Visual Sound's Angry Fuzz which is pretty cheap new and also doubles up as a full on fuzz pedal or something like a blue box and Octavia also all their new pedals will far outlast anything else on the market.

I had a Boss Super Octave - not bad at all, much better on guitar than bass so I did sell it in the end.

I want a Micro POG - but I don't have the wedge at the mo either. Have to wait until he exchange rate comes back a bit and then look for a used one on ebay in the US.

POG's are the best of them all but even picking one up used is about the same price as the competition's pedals new. Depends what you want, if it's just an octave pedal that can do a bunch of stuff with and want to fiddle with it the Boss is probably the best bet but if you want something simple then something like an Angry Fuzz if you just want more beef to just stick on now and again. Both are pretty good I just love what visual sound are doing at the minute with pedals and at decent prices as well.
