    Tweakheadz is useful.. as mentioned.

Not always a great S/N ratio, but KVR has also been useful to me.

Also, maybe check the blog here:

    and this podcast:

I've not had great luck with information from books, but have found some useful videos.

This is ridiculously cheesy, but I did find it moved me forward as a beginner with how to approach mixing:

    Art of Mixing

I think it's mainly just practicing until you can trust your ears though to be honest.

There are some good tutorials on youtube, especially for things like reason and fruityloops.

The HIP HOP IN Session DVDs by Terence Flemming are quite useful, (www.todaysbeats.com) and whilst hip hop oriented do cover quite a bit of ground.

However, the first thing I'd recommend is a subscription to CM and a few back issues where there are features on genre's you're into, and the producer masterclass special. Music Tech do a few useful specials as well.

I keep a stack of old CM's by the throne and am always finding articles that i'd forgotton, or wasn't advanced enough to make use of first time round.

The DOA forum is also very good if you have a DnB leaning...
