What type of mic.....?

I'm trying to think of a particular type of mic and am drawing a blank. I'm seen them used on guitar cabinets, etc. and they attach or are taped to the cabinet, etc. They pick up the vibrations I believe but I can't rememeber the name of them. Anyone?

Ahhhhh...nevermind. I finally remembered after thinking about this for days. I was thinking of a PZM (Pressure Zone Microphone).

I am looking into possibly purchasing one of these to experiment with. Anyone know of a good model to look at?

well the originals are flippin expensive but the tandy/radio-shack ones were the bargain ones which sounded superb - i've got 2 and they aint for sale

btw, gaffa one solidly to a butchers weight and chuck it in a kick drum - works good - i saw that technique used by a famous producer in the studio once. Also you can remove the plate and stick the little capsule to a sax horn or whatever with blutak
