I had a listen to the tune on a different pair of speakers earlier and I've got distortion from the bass beat. I'll be uploading a fixed mix asap.

Could someone do me a favour and have a listen to this? Not sure if the distortion is due to the speakers not being able to handle the bass or it's my dodgy mix I'm not expecting any comment on the tune itself as I know my skills are pretty limited.

    Cheers

No distorting for me. My comp is connected to a decent hi-fi and the mix sounds really good. A very good track overall too.

Errr, okay, I've got a mixed comment about this...firstly, the mixing is spot on, no distortion whatsoever and interesting arangement, although the vocal sound (if I'm guessing correctly) can be a bit softer (add more reverb or delay?). Secondly, on the tune side, to be honest I can't really connect at the moment...it'll be good for soundtrack, but to be listened as a full song, I find it a bit weird...But, of course, I suppose that's more on the taste issue...

    Anyway, nice job...

Hey, Thanks for listening, I can now stop messing around with the mix and should maybe consider buying new speakers for my stereo
thedeadsoul, I would consider softening the 'vocal' sound but after taking so long over finishing this one I really can't be arsed as it's not a huge issue, but cheers for the comment anyway.
I'm always well surprised that I manage to create anywhere near decent mixes on the 'equipment' I use, pair of £50.00 multimedia speakers and £15.00 headphones so is a real bonus when it comes over well.

Thanks again for the listens and the comments.

I can't really comment on the mix itself as I'm only listening on a pair of rubbish laptop spoeakers (well, the laptop's great, but the speakers are small).

Interesting track. I can see how much you've worked on this. Love the vocal sample!

Not sure about the zipper sound and the mellotron-esque choir part. Really annoyed me, but then again, I'm normally alienated by anything with a four to the floor beat!
Guitars, effects, a computer, Logic Pro, effects, some more effects ... oh and some effects.
