Loads of different bands have tried different ways now of releasing their albums for download etc now. Be it for free or otherwise. Does anybody think any one particular concept has worked or will work in the future...?

I saw that The Virgins recently released half their album for free, and once you reccomended them to a friend you get the other half of the album to download. I actually thought this was a really good idea and even though you aren't paying for the album itself, you're still helping the band out...
