I cannot speak for any third party's motivation.

Welcome to the forum. You seem like a nice, well-balanced chap with an enviable ability to pick up on the tone and feeling of your environment.
I listen to bands that don't even exist yet.

3: Various members of this forum will offer friendly advice as to over-the-top (and as it happens too low) pricing.

4: Sporky is a Mod. If he wants to delete my posts I will not get upset. That is his function.

5: You decided that the friendly advice was a wilful attempt to stop a (probably) youngster buying an overpriced bass. It was not. I really don't care what you want for your bass and I don't care if some idiot pays it either when they should have known to stick it into google first.

I suspect you know it was over-priced by the way it hasn't sold on all the other forums as well.

    1. It matters not one jot that the Geddy Lee model is a more desirable bass, it's not the one I'm selling and your comment has no purpose other then, despite you protestations, to ruin and spoil the thread.

    2. There aren't any of the type I'm selling on eBay at the moment so my comment is accurate. You've seen fit to mention the ones that haven't sold on eBay but conveniently ignored then ones that have. Why is that, because to me it's just another attempt by you, with clearly nothing better to do, than to spoil this thread?

    3. Your comment is friendly advice though. I would have thought given that I didn't respond to your pointless PM that I wasn't interested in your remarks.

    4. I'd appreciate if Sporky could answer some of the questions I've asked and explain to me what purpose your deliberate act of ruining this thread has.

    5. Haha! What a pathetic, gross and patronising exaggeration. "Probably a youngster". If you feel it's overpriced, that's your opinion. It's not for you to decide to spoil a thread with your unnecessary remarks when you have no interest in purchasing the item at all. I'm sorry for not replying to your PM and giving you the attention you so desperately crave, but I wasn't really that interested in you declaring how much these instruments sell for on eBay without even bothering to provide anything to back yourself up.

Look, I've set a price that I'm happy to be negotiated based upon what I've seen them sell for brand new and on eBay. If there exists a Parker's Price Guide for used basses then by all means show me where I can get one from and I can adjust my price accordingly, because truth be told what you arrogantly think is overpriced isn't fact or truth, it's merely opinion that serves no purpose in this thread other than to spoil it.

    Well done.

Sorry, I reported the comments because I believed they did contravene. I would like an explanation from a Mod as to what purpose post #16 serves to this thread, and also an answer to the question I asked in post #29.

Clecko, I gather from this post you've decided to take advantage of the decline of this thread to impress your friends on here with a display of sarcastic wit.

Don't worry though, it is a common trait on many forums whereby people with little interest in the actual topic exploit a situation to post trivial, inane nonsense that has little purpose, much like you've done here.

Interesting that you think mocking the disabled is funny.

Maybe Sporky can explain to be what use that has in this thread.

AFAIK a mod is not expected to explain the "Purpose" of any post by any member.

Sporky may have beyond the average clarivoyance but I'm still not convinced.

As it happens I think that Herbie's post might contravene the T&Cs - but then again I've actually read them and you have not.

EDIT: Please don't think I haven't noticed the subtle shift to an ad-hominem tactic.

Herbie, no one is arguing, I'm merely asking for an explanation as to why comments are allowed to be posted that have no relevance. There's no competition, no one is trying to win anything. I just can't understand why a thread that didn't break any rules (at least that I'm not aware of), that had no problem has derailed because someone who didn't get a reply to a PM he sent 3 weeks ago, thought he'd post some irrelevant comments that I wasn't interested in.

You obviously see this as an opportunity to post pictures mocking the disabled and make silly gestures, probably much like Clecko; as a means to impress your friends.
