It wasn't going to badly until someone didn't get what he wanted and thought he'd ruin the thread. It seems to have attracted a few who've got nothing better to do than continue posting unwelcome crap.

Very well Sporky. I'm disappointed that things like that are allowed considering they have zero relevance. I guess having been part of other forums and how they work in regards to thread spoiling, thought this one would enforce a similar policy of removing comments that serve no purpose in a thread.
25 post count and they have all been in this thread.
We see a lot of threads started in classified by people with it being their first post, perhaps we need a minimum (say 20-50 posts like some other fourms) before you can sell stuff ?
If it's a problem then surely it's for the Admin to deal with, and maybe your suggestion would be better served if it was elsewhere rather than a classified advert.

You can, of course, report any post you’d like to if you believe it’s out of order. Without knowing the background of this thread though, I don’t think anyone was being malicious – that’s very rare on here.

OK, OK. I'll dignify this with a serious answer. As it happens, I opened your thread because I was genuinely interested in the topic. I became the unexpected owner of a rather nice Trace Elliot bass amp on Saturday and my old Tanglewood MM copy isn't cutting it anymore, so I need a bass to go with it.
When I opened your thread I thought that the bass looked expensive. Though I had a quick Google myself to confirm that was the case - and it absolutely was, you're asking for ridiculous money - I was glad to see Fretmeister's note. You have gone on to complain that it's irrelevant and useless to your audience, but I am part of your audience and I found it both relevant and useful.
Subsequently, you've chosen to go on and on about the same tired rubbish and have succeeded in nothing more impressive than making yourself look like a bit of a jumped-up, juvenile idiot. Many of us know Fretmeister to be a reliably-informed bass enthusiast who is shit on the guitar. It seems that he showed you some courtesy in sending you a PM before making a public post, but even that has become a point of annoyance for you.
And on that point, you seem to be a very angry chap. The strong impression that I have formed is that, even if you were to be offering your bass at an attractive price, I wouldn't consider buying it from you. If there were to be any problems, you've demonstrated here that you would most likely be a nightmare to deal with.
That you've managed to so badly gauge and react to the nature of this forum is a clear sign of limited emotional intelligence and your toy throwing has made you both an unwelcome poster and an unlikely seller. I was trying to hint at that with my original response to you. You thought what I said was completely irrelevant, but I thought that you failed to read between the lines, even though I left enough space for you to get your size 12s in there.
Good luck with selling the bass. I suspect you'll need it.
I listen to bands that don't even exist yet.
