Default Obscuresounds session - Crocodile (minimal, piano, fem vox)

    Enjoy.

Currently looking to find a musicbox sound to replace the electric piano, but it's almost there.

love this track! id leave the piano as it is, this is a wonderful song, the vocals are great to,they have quite a folky feel to them.
i can hear banks of strings building up behind this track, it has potential to be lots of things, id love to have a go at this if you wanted an Absorption remix sometime!!
    loved it. dave

Absolutely gorgeous track. Like Mat said, Milly's got a lovely voice.

I guess using a musicbox sound instead of the piano would give the tune a bit more of a quirky nature, but not sure that it needs it. The piano is more than fitting. The piano line actually reminds me in parts of some of Tori Amos' better tunes. Very nice indeed.

    It's a keeper

    Hey guys,

Thank you so much for the wonderful replies! She's got an amazing voice hasn't she? We're going to work on more projects together - which is exactly the sort of thing I want to do, as I see myself more as someone who can bring them in to the studio and work with artists to get their sound. - it's very different from my usual stuff, but I love it.

LP: Already working on the strings with any luck. We're going to do them virtually for now, and then once we've got a few songs under our belt, and sufficient funding then we'll see if we can get a quartet in... I want to do this one properly.

Noctuary: Took a while to get the piano right... ended up placing it through a Tape Echo with a very short slap to give it an almost auditorium feel. Likewise her voice is also going through another tape echo for a dirtier feel... love mechanical FX as they add their own character to a mix.

I have a new vocal take of the mix which I'm going to process over the weekend. So I'll keep you guys updated on the new version.
    Kind Regards,

Echoing what's been said, wonderful voice and I'd keep the piano the way it is.

    Very nice.
