    Default What instrument is this?

    A house classic I've just found again :P: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2q4o0tUayhs

My question is what it the instrument/synth that's used right at the start (and throughout the song) under the vocals/drums. It kind of sounds like an electronic organ/piano with a phaser/flanger over it slightly. Or is it actually a guitar? There's something about it that sounds a bit guitarish. hmmmm.

How would you go about reproducing/recreating that sound?

The rest of the track is nice and easy; it's just strings and a saw wave

Not sure but my guess would be an EP of some sort.

it's definitely some kind of electric piano. It's got some pitch-modulation effects and then some flange/phasor. Best way to get this I reckon would be to use a fender rhodes style VST with a mixture of flange ad chorus on it.

Definately an EP with a phasor applied. Sounds like a sample of one being played quietly to me.

Sounds like an old Fender Rhodes Suitcase model. You can hear the tines, at times............
