Honestly, I bought one of these for a mate only 2 weeks ago so I'm not speaking randomly.

To be honest as I said in my initial post I'd rather not have to sell it & if it isn't worth what It ought to be considering what I paid a few years ago I'd hang onto it anyway. Its only that "Times is hard" right now. So If I'm not going to get offered what I need it really does make the desision to sell or not to sell even easier.

So yes I'm going to keep it & enjoy it when I get the opertunity. All I need is a 15th C electric Lute to plug into it...rofl.

Hi there, not a problem and sorry the amp isn't (or doesn't appear) to have as much value as you had first thought. Looks in fine condition and it's great to hear you are keeping it

Best wishes and (not that it's much consolation) it's still a great amp in my opinion regardless of cost,

    Cheers

£1.6k, Nevermind. You obviously have been enjoying it. I think everyone has over spent.

As much as I love my Mesa Mark IV, £2100 is FAR too much for one LOL.

We all live & lear eh..!
Mind you Mesa stuff is rather nice

You should see my collection, its bursting at the seams & If I had to be honest in dire need of streamlining. I mean who needs two Telecasters, but I have & am loathed to sell either. Mind you seeing as one is a JD with the special configuration & the other I've modded with Bareknuckle Pickups some time ago, they both are distinctive.

For some reason I've a hankering to do something with my baritone later.Might be interesting moving it to Lute interval tuning. later to see what I can come up with.

You said you recently had it valued at more than you paid for it. Care to share who that was with?

In other words, who in the UK says a 1980 JMP is..........

    1. Worth more than £1.6k
    2. Is a "Plexi"
    3. Said it was made in the 70's when it has 1980 written in 2 places

On one hand not much of a consolation as it means I'm doubtful to afford something I thought I was sure to be able to buy. But a very nice consolation to be able to be able to keep something I've loved playing & know sooner or later I'll be able to play once again sooner or later.

Exactly what I said via PM Paul. Keep it as it's a great amp, plus, financially you won't benefit for a number of years.
