I'd be interested to hear his response and to be honest, if I was in your shoes, I'd be camped outside his house until he gave me my money back.

I dare say you would. Personally. I've put that one down to experience. The chap is in the trade & I count him as a friend & know I've had enough discountsa over the years off various other things to more than make up for the loss. And am certainly not going to fall out over something he sold me several years ago.

I'm more than happy to hang onto said Marshall & wont be afaid to go using it for the purpose it was intended. Albiet in a Medieval & Folk Metal Guise

Nocaster, I doubt very much whether you would ever need to deal with them, as you clearly can work out what for you is a good deal & what is not. You are happy with that. I've said before I don't wish to discuss this matter & name names. If I didn't know the person in question as well as I do I would name & shame. However, I'll bide my time & choose my moment to mention something at an opertune moment when It will be to my advantage & as leverage to get something I want off him.

Nocaster I really cant understand why someone who has nothing to do with the loss I've had directly should have such a bugbear about something that clearly is actually none of their buisiness, like some sort of yorkshire terrier after a bone he'll never get, yet still keeps on snapping away. And its getting quite tiresome tbqh.

Loathed to get involved in this, but tbh I think Nocaster has a point. If a dealer is prepared to seriously over-value (misrepresent) by x4 then people *should* know about it. That suggests they don't know what they are talking about and makes their business very questionable, or they deliberately scammed you. Which is a serious issue for you and someone you call a 'friend'.

I'm loathed too, but I feel I need to stick up for Nocaster here too, I don't think he is trying to rip the piss out of the OP but is merely trying to help/make him realise that he has been shafted.

I don't think anyone should accept paying over the odds for anything, and lets face it, if this so called friend is a dealer, then he (should!) know his amps..and their respective values.

Nocaster is a decent bloke who puts a lot of good input and posts on to this forum.
