Default Gibson les Paul Standard Faded 2008 50's neck for sale

Some of you probably saw this coming!!

This guitar was bought by me brand new late 2008 as a backup for my LP custom. I played the whole shopful of les pauls that day, and i liked this one the best.
    Specs-

    Manufactured in: Nashville, TN
Body Top Species: Carved AA maple
    Back Species: Mahogany
    Binding: Single-ply top
    Neck Species: Mahogany
    Profile: '50's Rounded
    Neck Joint Location: 16th fret
    Fingerboard Species: Rosewood
    Scale Length: 24 3/4 in.
    Number of Frets: 22
    Nut Width: 1.695 in.
    Inlays: Trapezoid
    Fingerboard Binding: single-ply
    Hardware Plating Finish: Nickel
    Tailpiece: Stopbar
    Bridge: Tune-o-matic
    Knobs: Gold Top Hat
    Tuners: Green Keys
Electronics Pickups: BurstBucker Pro pickups with Alnico V magnets
    Controls: 2 volume, 2 tone, 3-way switch

Whats it like??!It rocks!! I really like the pickups, they have that authentic PAFish tone but a bit fatter and more rock I think. This is how I think a trad lp should sound. The faded finish feels great , it has that nice played in feel (even though its not!!) nice comfortable weight (a lot lighter than an lp custom!!) and the 50's neck is a nice handful. TONETONETONE!!! And BTW the top is unbelievable, the satin finish makes it really 3d in the light.

This was bought as a backup so has spent most of its life in its case, and is barely used. I think "display guitar" would be more accurate than "2nd hand" as theres barely any sign of it being played at all!!

Immaculate condition, comes with scratchplate (never fitted) gibbo manual and hard case.
These are killer guitars especially for the money. Do a quick search, people love em!!!!
These were about £1200 new, which is great value IMHO, and even better value when you consider that the non-faded standards are now £1900!!! And I don't think the tops look as nice.

I'm asking for £950 + postage. Thats literally half what you'd pay for a non faded standard!! You're welcome to come and try it if you're interested.

Heres a couple of taster pics, theres more if you want em.

A guy in my old band had one of these. Really nice.

If it was a 60's neck I might have taken it - but have a bump instead.

Blimey Kev, you're getting a bit GAS happy these last few days

Lovely guitar BTW - I've played a few faded standards and they really are stonking axes for the money and particularly when weighed up against the current Gibson prices.

They must have gone up a lot last year - I acquired my Faded Tobacco Burst on 31st December 2007, and it only cost me £999 new. Great Guitar.

    Yeh they have.

Gibson put through a massive price rise aswell as the £ being weak as fuck.
