    Default Native Instruments Web site

I bought the August CM issue but when I go to the Native Instruments web site I get an error message.
"Cannot connect to www.native-instruments.com" Now unless there is some way round it I need the authorisation code from the website so that I can use the free guitar rig on the CM DVD. I tried the web site at work and it seemed to be there but wanted some direct x thing downloading (need to be admin to do that assuming it's an executable). Does anybody know what I can do to get a connection to the NI site or some other way of getting the free guitar rig authorised?

    Cheers

They've been having issues for the past day or so, no demo downloads available, etc. I finally managed to get hold of the free Guitar Rig Go earlier and if it's the same as the CM version, I wouldn't be in any hurry to install it tbh, it ain't that good. Using the fiasco they call a service centre to authorize it didn't help, tho' seemingly I dropped lucky and managed it first time.

Guitar Rig Go can be got here

    Hi there,

The version on the CM disc is Guitar Rig 3 LE, which is considerably better than Guitar Rig GO

Fez - I will PM you an alternative link to try.

Still no joy with native-instruments.com. The Flash plug is that Adobe Flash 10?

    Hi Fez,

Yes, Flash 10 is the latest one. Did you try the direct link I sent you via private message? If that's no help either, please email us (our email addresses are on page 3 of the mag) and we'll try to get it sorted for you.

    - Lee.

Lee I don't have anything in my inbox.
I loaded flash 10 but no improvement
I will email you when I get home.
Someone at work suggested trying Moxilla firefox - might be worth a try.

The story so far - eventually I found out that the Native instruments website needs Explorer 7 & guess what I have 6 so I downloaded Mozilla Firefox and lo and behold when I sent the activation code from my memory stick (music pc not connected to web) the service centre fired up. Ah but could I create an account & log into it, NOT A CHANCE it's a complete farce so I still can't try guitar Rig out & I shouldn't think I will be buying anything from Native Instruments anytime soon.

Many thanks to Tim at CM for trying to get me sorted.
