Default Possible sale of Alembic series one Bass

    Hi Guys
My Bass player may be selling his 1978 Alembic series 1 Bass 4string
with power supply & OHSC. He has owned it since the early eighties it is in great condition the seletor switch has been moved to enable easier slapping (80s thing ) full specs and Pics will be added if anyone interested.
    $13,500+ new, about £8000.
I say he should keep it but he says its too heavy now he is getting old (bad back and all that)
He has not set a price but will consider sensible offers.
I've have done a bit of research and £5000 seems the going rate.

    Stick it up on basschat.co.uk

There are a couple of loaded Fodera / Smith / Surine owners on there.
Sibella: He says he wants to go to Europe to expand his mind.Louis: He certainly has room to do so.

I don't think there are any well-heeled bassists on here at the moment.

Have you tried Talkbass in the USA? Might be worth a shot.

As tempting as that is.... I don't buy basses unless they have "Status-Graphite" on the headstock!
