Possible sale of Alembic series one Bass
Hi Guys
My Bass player may be selling his 1978 Alembic series 1 Bass 4string
with power supply & OHSC. He has owned it since the early eighties it is in great condition the seletor switch has been moved to enable easier slapping (80s thing) full specs and Pics will be added if anyone interested.
$13,500+ new, about £8000.
I say he should keep it but he says its too heavy now he is getting old (bad back and all that)
He has not set a price but will consider sensible offers.
I've have done a bit of research and £5000 seems the going rate.

I don't think there are any well-heeled bassists on here at the moment.
Have you tried Talkbass in the USA? Might be worth a shot.

My freind will take less than half its value!!!!
As tempting as that is.... I don't buy basses unless they have "Status-Graphite" on the headstock!
