What's the patched loop on the Quartermaster?

Here is mine (as seen in my Nano thread)

This is what GigRig call an effects insert loop. The first 3 loops, from right to left, are in front of the amp then insert loop goes to the front of the amp,FX send goes back to the QM, 2 more loops "in the amp's FX loop" then out to FX return. you sacrifice one of the loops of the Quartermaster 6 but it works really well.

A few changes. Loving the Gorm board.

Gigged this last night, will be taking it out tonight too. Haven't quite found the right sonic spot for the Wampler Pinnacle yet but it's got lots of promise.

I considered getting one, but went for the Dry Bell Vibe Machine instead as it's much smaller. Would be interested to compare, although they're not quite the same thing, I know.

Here's my first attempt at my pedalboard.

    into:

I love the clean sound of the F50 and both channels of the Marshall, ch1 maxed gain so I can roll back the guitar vol and get a lovely creamy semi-crunch sound.

At the moment I have the order:

Morley Bad Horsie - Tu2 - BYOC Armstrong Twin (comp only) - Bad Monkey - ISP - Mesa F50 - loop - Nova Mod - Strymon El Cap.

Question 1 : What switching options can I get to put the Marshall into this setup just to add crunch to the sound?

Question 2: Where would you put the Big Muff in this chain?

Question 3: Is the Nova mod best in the loop or out front? If t was out front and I got an ABY to use the Marshll too, I would then have mod for both amps.

The Big Muff is a somewhat spirited pedal!

Before mine died I was finding it best near the start of the chain, just after the wah and the tuner. I tried it everywhere but that's what I liked best because if I then kicked in other pedals they could add their characters to the Muff. Whereas when the Muff was near or at the end of the chain it would Mufferise everything else. The only exception to that was wah. A Muffed wah sounds better than a wahed Muff. IMO.

I'll try it at the start and then after my Wah.

    It's done!

Got my old showman board back, and I've filled it straight away. First time I've actually had both a wah and a volume pedal onboard, I usually keep those separate, but this should help save me a couple of minutes setting up at each gig.

    Signal path:

    In front of the amp:

    TC Polytune Mini
    Dunlop/CAE Wah
    EHX Micro Pog
    Boss FB-2 (Feedbacker/Booster)
    Shur Koko Boost
    EHX Freeze
    T-Rex Gristle King
    Suhr Jack Rabbit
    Whirlwind Orange Box Phaser

    In the FX Loop:

    Visual Sounds Liquid Chorus
    Morley Volume Pedal
TC Electronic Nova Delay (ib Modified)
TC Electronic Hall of Fame Reverb

I keep jumping between having the phaser and trem in the loop or upfront, but for moment they're upfront.

I'm using a Diago Powerstation to run the upfront ones, and a Visual Sounds One Spot for the pedals in the loop. Ideally I'm after a single unit with enough juice (and isolated outputs) to do all that off one plug. That's the only change I'm planning at the moment

Here's something I made of all Japanese pedals

They're in an old pedalboard that's made of wood and covered in silver tolex.
