Default Cubase Studio 4 H/W help needed....

Okay folks, I installed a legit version of Cubase Studio 4 and my M-Audio 24/96 card. Downloaded the drivers and everything seems to work...... except there is no sound output. All the graphics seem to suggest all is well, the VU's are moving normally and the transport seems fine so I assume it is seeing the ASIO drivers, however the Device Manager seems suspect as the only active I/O connections are:

In Analog In 1 Delta AP
Out Analog Out 2 Delta AP

Any clues as I am snookered ?.

    Thanks in advance.

    dilbert.

P.S. my bet is that it is something worth a 'slaphead' emoticon

M-Audio control panel still show the output levels? They moving? Haven't got any sliders pulled down or channels muted? There isn't an Analog Out 1 is there? The M-Audio ASIO driver is selected in Cubase? Speakers switched on? Speakers plugged in? You haven't gone deaf?

Can you get sound from the card from other appications (such as Winamp)?

VST connections in the device menu!
Check that the in and outputs (inside Cubase) are not diabled! (depends on how you loaded the project so to speak).
Sounds like your outputs are disabled to me.

Greetings! The prodigal yeti ass returns

How ya'll doing? I have bought interweb doings and shall now be pestering this forum again slightly

Sorry to everyone I was in contact with before re project swapping, been completely off the radar (heh!) for an age.

To the OP, like someone said sounds like you need to activate the outs in cubase's vst connections (if it's called that now, I'm still on SX 2.2 )
